Landscape Construction Foreman
We are looking to hire a skilled and experienced Landscape Construction Foreman to lead one of our construction/installation crews.

Pay: Depends on Experience(DOE), Total pay and benefits include medical, dental, vision and life insurances, 401(k) + matching, work related company vehicle use/commute related expenses.


APPLICANT KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3 years minimum experience. Qualified applicant must be able to demonstrate moderate to advanced knowledge and abilities in landscape installation and/or general construction principles and practices including:
  • Carpentry--fence building deck framing
  • Masonry-- building and pouring concrete forms and walkways and building stone walls
  • Irrigation--Drip, Sprinklers/PVC, ponds, fountains, and pumps
  • Electrical - Lighting and general wiring
  • Compensation is based on experience, professional skills, documented training and demonstrated artisanship. Relevant work in other trades, references and language skills will also be considered.
  • You will be required to drive company trucks and must have a good driving record, valid California Drivers License, and be insurable.

Job Requirements
The successful candidate should be able to perform the following:

Read and interpret plans -- perform site layout tasks, identify major and minor elements of each job, understand and apprise crew of all work to be done by other general and subcontractors
Construction and Installation -- masonry and concrete patios, steps and walls, wood decks and other garden structures, drainage and irrigation systems, water features and low voltage lighting.
Plant Installation -- including large trees, shrubs, ground cover plantings and sod lawns.
Lead and motivate a multi-person crew -- Organize and coordinate work flow, manage time and oversee quality control, train and mentor team, establish and maintain a high level of artisanship.
Manage Time, Communicate and Document Work -- manage time according to budget and keep accurate job records. Engage Project Managers, Clients, and Laborers in finding solutions to material, technical and logistical challenges
