Job Description

 

Do you Love Plants and Everything about them?    The Good Earth Garden Center began in 1974 as a retail garden center and nursery.  Over the years, it has expanded greatly and now offers a myriad of landscape services, a gift shop and is considered a one-stop-shop for anything garden or landscape.  The Good Earth has been featured in Southern Living as the where to go Garden Center in Arkansas.  Awarded the Best of Arkansas Gardening/Landscaping, a Family Favorites Gold Winner, most Revolutionary Garden Center in the Nation and one of Arkansas Best Places to Work.  We love to have fun, work hard, be creative and help customers fall in love with their outdoor spaces.

This position could include any and all of the following:
 

·       Customer service including sales, design ideas, troubleshooting/ resolving plant health issues

·       Stocking, merchandising, and maintaining inventory (including watering)

·       Maintaining and enhancing display gardens

·       Educational seminars, blog posts, signage

·       Involvement in perennial growing program, customer plantings

Job Requirements
Associate degree or similar training in horticulture or at least 2 years’ experience in a commercial garden center or production program. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, be able to work in all environmental conditions, have exemplary customer service and communication skills, have a great attitude, a willingness to learn and a desire to work hard. Must be flexible, and willing to change directions plus multi-task easily while maintaining a positive attitude. Must be willing to work weekends. Horticulture degree desired; experience necessary.
