The property features about twelve acres of gardens, which hold collections of Rhododendron, maple, oak, holly, dwarf conifers, as well as perennial borders and a vegetable garden. The remaining property is comprised of woodlots, hay fields, riparian buffers, and conservation lands.

The Horticulturist & Natural Lands Gardener works in both the gardens and natural lands  and completes a team of five. The work is diverse and encompasses all aspects of large property management, caring for turf, trees, shrubs, vegetables, perennials, and areas under restoration. Daily work varies with the season to include invasive species control, including the timely application of herbicides, turf and trail mowing, tractor work, arboriculture & firewood production, tree & plug planting, pruning of woody and herbaceous plants, conservation seedings, mulching, weeding, watering, composting, and more. This is a year-round 40-hour per week salaried position in a positive work environment.  Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
