Job Description

 

Job Purpose

Milosi Landscape is seeking an experienced Landscape Designer to join our exceptional design team. A key responsibility for this position is ensuring the client’s needs are being met and exceeded on a daily basis through continuous communication and cutting edge design. Daily tasks will include, but are not limited to, seeing a project through all its design phases, project estimating, preparing presentations, and creating construction drawings.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

·     Must be a team player and able to work with all internal and external customers and alongside internal departments on a daily basis

·     Delegate work to appropriate departments to ensure that project deadlines and budgets are being met

  • Conduct site inventory and analysis
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to obtain estimates, visit sites, etc.
  • Contact vendors to research materials
  • Prepare construction drawings, details, and specifications
  • Be available at all times to receive phone calls
  • Presentation preparation
  • Be able to work longer hours if necessary to ensure the project deadline is met
  • Visit local municipalities to research permit requirements
  • Submit and monitor progress of permits
  • Selling and designing high end pools

Experience and Special Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of developing planting plans, grading plans, lighting plans, and construction details a must
  • Field experience is a must
  • Thorough knowledge of local plant identification, specification and growth habits
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas
  • Detail orientated with strong organizational, time and resource management skills
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft applications – Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint

Qualifications

     5+ years’ experience working as a Landscape Designer

  • 2+ years’ experience working on residential projects
  • Valid driver’s license and clean MVR
  • Bachelors or Master Degree in Landscape Architecture
  • Experience in pool sales and design
