Job Description
A well-established landscape construction business based in Upstate SC currently has a full-time position available for a Landscape Construction Superintendent. The position reports to and receives assistance from the Project Manager but requires a self-motivated, independent thinker who is knowledgeable and capable of making good decisions in the field. Skills Required

To be successful in this position, this person must be well-organized, a good communicator in interacting with the customers, and a team player in working alongside landscape construction crews or alone on special small projects in the field.


  • Ensure the highest quality construction standards, which requires understanding of the following:
  • comprehension of project scope
  • comprehension of landscape and irrigation plans
  • mathematical comprehension, especially the ability to properly lay out irrigation and plantings per plan scales
  • knowledge of plant materials and proper planting techniques
  • understanding of irrigation system construction and operations
  • proper operation of landscape construction equipment.
  • Ensure a safe environment for employees, customers and the general public
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and Project Manager, helping to price add-on work and ensure that completed work is billed properly. This requires excellent attention to detail in daily time records and notes
Job Requirements
- Prefer Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Ag Business, Horticulture, Ag Science, Landscape Maintenance, Agronomy, Floriculture, Forestry , Plant and Soil Science, or Turfgrass Management
- Proficient with computer software programs and tablet-based applications
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize job duties and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Customer service experience - able to identify and resolve customer concerns professionally without taking criticism personally.
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
