Job Description

 

Salmon Falls Nursery & Landscaping is looking to hire new crew members for the 2021 season. Are you a hard working, self starter who is willing to learn a great trade or a seasoned veteran in the landscape industry? We would love to talk with you and have you join our team!

            We currently have exciting opportunities in our commercial, residential, maintenance and irrigation divisions with positions available from entry level to foreman. We are currently offering up to a $2,000 dollar sign on bonus, based on experience. Available positions are for the 2021 season and would begin mid March, weather dependent.             

            Salmon Falls Nursery & Landscaping, founded in 1978, began as a retail garden center with residential design and install services. Through the years as the company has changed and grown we continued to build upon our expertise. Today we offer a strong residential design and install department, commercial bid-build department, maintenance department and irrigation services and a full production Nursery.

Job Requirements
• Foreman: Ability and desire to lead, supervise and manage a landscape crew of 2-4 individuals
• Ability to direct/ensure crew members utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow landscaping safety practices
• Knowledge and ability to properly train others on various types of landscaping equipment
• Manage activities and personnel, effectively and efficiently on the job site
• Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with company standards/procedures
• Communicate with crew members, clients and supervisors
• Crew member: Ability to take direction, work together and independently of your fellow crew members
• Knowledge of all construction safety practices
• Monitor all tools, equipment, and machinery for needed maintenance and ensure daily/annual maintenance is completed
• Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times
• Ability to work in a team environment with a positive attitude
• Ability to present themselves in a clean and professional manner
• Interest in working outdoors year round performing manual labor in all weather conditions
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Ability to work effectively with individuals of differing knowledge and background (i.e. clients, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
• Ability to stand, bend, lift and carry a variety of light to heavy items throughout a 10-hour workday
• Ability to take pride in doing things well and in compliance with company procedures

• Ability to report to work on time
• License and reliable transport to and from work
