Primary Responsibility: 
 
The PUA Outdoor Customer Service Team Leader is responsible for coordinating and overseeing 12-18 members of our outdoor customer service team in our seasonally busy, outdoor wholesale horticulture store.
 
The successful candidate will ensure effective performance by team members and smooth completion of customer transactions, including the scanning and loading of product into customer vehicles.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

 
  • Coordinate the daily activity of the outdoor customer service team including scheduling of shifts, lunches and breaks

  • Provide direction to the team regarding proper customer interactions and assistance

  • Ensure superior customer service standards are met by team

  • Train team in the accurate and efficient use of hand held scanner for scanning of product

  • Oversee smooth and safe loading of customer vehicles and customer traffic flow

  • Facilitate clear communication between team members and all stakeholders

 

Job Requirements
To be successful in this role, we ask the following:



1. Ability to effectively communicate with team members and other departments

2. Strong communication and organizational skills

3. Prior experience in a customer facing or customer service based role

4. Basic plant knowledge of annuals, perennials, tropical, trees and shrubs

5. Positive attitude and ability to problem solve in a fast paced environment

6. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience with Sage MAS 500 preferred.

7. Bilingual preferred – English and Spanish


Physical Requirements:

* Ability to lift, pull/push up to 30 lbs

* Ability to bend, stand and walk for the length of your shift

* Ability to work outside in all types of weather
